Equipment
This is a list of various kitchen tools I use to make my homemade dog treats.
Baking Sheet
Non-stick. Used for baking dog biscuits.
Cookie Cutters
I purchased two sets of dog bone cookie cutters of various sizes on eBay. There are also cookie cutters in dog shapes, dog house, fire hydrant, paw print, etc.

Rolling Pin
Used for rolling out the dough to 1/4″ thickness.
Dough Mat
Ideal for rolling out dough. Non-stick work surface, easily releases dough, keeps counter tops clean.
Electric Hand Mixer (with dough attachments)
Used for mixing the ingredients of various dog treats.
Though, when making dog biscuits or anything requiring dough, it’s best to use an electric hand mixer with dough attachments.
(dough attachments)
Food Processor (optional)
Optional, though highly recommended. I use a food processor to chop up ingredients, such as rolled oats, makes it easier to mix and cut out cookie cutter shapes in the dough.
Blender
A blender comes in handy, especially when making the frozen treats. It can easily blend the ingredients, such as fruit, into a smooth and creamy and easy to pour concoction.
Dehydrator
For making jerky treats and dehydrated treats.
I have the Nesco FD-75PR 700-Watt Food Dehydrator, which I purchased from Amazon.com. There is also the Open Country 4 Tray Trialmaster 500 Watt Dehydrator Kit which comes with a jerky gun (for use with ground beef or turkey). The Nesco Dehydrator does not come with the jerky gun, but it can be purchased separately, Nesco BJX-5 American Harvest Jumbo Jerky Works Kit.

Ice Cube Tray or Chillin’ Bonz
For my frozen dog treats I use a product called Chillin’ Bonz, it comes in two sizes…Large makes 4 frozen treats and Mini makes 14 treats.
An alternative to using the Chillin’ Bonz Treat Trays is to use ice cube trays. I would recommend using a silicone ice cube tray, it makes it easier to remove the frozen treats.
